• The Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin, is hosting “Blanton All Day” this Saturday, February 8th.
  

• You can keep the party going all day long, because the event runs from 10 a.m.– 8 p.m.. Explore the museum’s world-class collections, take part in hands-on workshops, and engage with curators and artists in an atmosphere that feels as vibrant as the art itself (tickets here).

Three Highlights:

• Interactive Art For All Ages: Visitors can join guided sketching sessions, participate in collaborative storytelling, and even create handmade valentines.

• Hear Her Mana Live: The Texas-born duo, Kate Robberson and Emilie Basez, are known for their “ethereal, genre-blending sound” that weaves English, Portuguese, and Spanish lyrics into a musical landscape that fuses samba, soul, and folk. For a preview, listen to our favorite track, Come Back.

A sculpture crafted from thousands of liquor bottle caps woven together with copper wire—Seepage by El Anatsui—is on display at the Blanton. At 2 p.m., the Blanton’s Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Hannah Klemm, will lead a discussion of this truly original piece.
