Hear Her Mana Live: The Texas-born duo, Kate Robberson and Emilie Basez, are known for their “ethereal, genre-blending sound” that weaves English, Portuguese, and Spanish lyrics into a musical landscape that fuses samba, soul, and folk. For a preview, listen to our favorite track, Come Back.
A sculpture crafted from thousands of liquor bottle caps woven together with copper wire—Seepage by El Anatsui—is on display at the Blanton. At 2 p.m., the Blanton’s Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Hannah Klemm, will lead a discussion of this truly original piece.
