Did you know that some of the most famous artists in history—Rembrandt, Picasso, and Warhol—were printmakers? Printmaking is a process-driven art form, one that thrives on layering, reinvention, and experimentation—much like Austin itself.

The Printmaker’s Ball, an unforgettable night of art, music, and celebration, raises support for Print Austin, “an artist-led nonprofit organization” that has transformed the city into a hub for printmakers, bridging the gap between contemporary artists and the public.

Meet Printmaking Legend Bob Schneider:

  • Bob Schneider is best known as one of Austin’s most beloved musicians, but his artistry goes beyond the stage. In addition to releasing over 20 albums and performing legendary live shows at the Saxon Pub, he is also a prolific visual artist whose work reflects the same raw creativity and boundary-pushing experimentation that defines printmaking.
  • Printmaking, like Schneider’s music, thrives on process, layering, and reinvention. Whether through his collage-inspired artwork or the ever-evolving nature of his live performances, Schneider embodies the spirit of artistic experimentation that makes Austin’s creative scene so dynamic.
  • Schneider will be the featured VIP guest at the Printmakers Ball where you can see some of his pieces on display. If you can’t make the event, you can purchase his artwork before the show. Here are three of our favorites:
